Depression Tip Number 19: Defeatist

It's very easy when we're in depression to be defeatist... to think that nothing will change, nothing will ever get better, nothing's ever going to work. While I completely empathize with that way of thinking, it's vital that we don't give in to defeatist thought.💙

One way that we can tackle that defeatist thought is to just focus here and now on what we can do in a little way, just a tiny way, just to make things a bit better. One of the simplest things we can do is to try to cut back on a negative.💙

So if we're, for example, trying to treat our depression ourselves by drinking in the evenings, maybe we can start to cut back on drinking. That will give our liver a bit of a break and will reduce the overall stress on our system.💙

The same goes for smoking or other kinds of drugs and also for junk food. And that will maybe then help you on the start of the path of the road to recovery.💙
