Depression Tip 40: Seasonal Affective Disorder 💙

As I record this, the clocks have just gone back and I can feel the change in the environment, that the seasons have changed, the leaves are starting to fall now, the evenings are drawing in, it's like dark at five o'clock in the evening when that sunset happens and it's definitely colder. 💙

So it feels like it's time to hibernate and that to some people can bring on feelings of depression, it generally happens in the winter, for some people SAD affects their feelings in the summer, they feel depressed in the summer, but for most people they feel worse in the winter. 💙

One of the ways you can mitigate this is to make sure you get sunlight exposure in the mornings and in the afternoons before the sunsets, obviously, because that will allow you to maintain your biological clock and allow you to adapt to the changing of the seasons. 💙
